My name is Aku Virtanen — I'm a 28-year-old personal trainer, physiotherapist, and online coach. Throughout my coaching career, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of people achieve a leaner physique and a healthier lifestyle through personalized training, physiotherapy, and mobility work.
I became a certified sports massage therapist in 2016 and later advanced my education by becoming a licensed physiotherapist. During this time, I also delved deep into the world of mobility training through Functional Range Conditioning (FRC).
In addition to a long athletic background and extensive experience, I bring professional-level expertise in strength training. I also have a personal transformation story: in my younger years, my life mostly revolved around PlayStation and snacks — until one day, I decided that was enough. I discovered boxing, and everything changed from there.
After my boxing career came to an end, I transitioned into serious gym training, which led to competing in classic physique bodybuilding. Weight training and everything that comes with it has become a true passion of mine — something that fuels my everyday life through continuous learning in both nutrition and training.
As a coach, I’m demanding in just the right way, but also flexible when needed. Most importantly, I’m someone who genuinely cares about your progress — and I promise, working with me won’t be boring. I don’t expect you to live like a professional athlete (unless that’s your goal), but I do believe in common sense, consistency, and building sustainable habits that fit your life and goals.
